[B07.000] - Environment - Description of circular economy principles

YES
Undertaking applies circular economy principles
Hiltermann applies circular economy principles primarily by extending the lifespan of vehicles and equipment and promoting their reuse within its lease portfolio. Through its credit risk policy and leasing propositions, Hiltermann enables longer use of assets, including increasing the allowed lifespan of financial lease vehicles and offering extended contract durations in operational lease. In addition, Hiltermann actively promotes second-life use of vehicles and equipment by offering second-hand leasing solutions and working with partners to support reuse and remarketing of assets. This contributes to reducing the need for new production and supports more efficient use of materials. Hiltermann also applies circular practices within its operations and supply chain, including the reuse of components such as tyres, prioritising sustainable repair practices, and ensuring responsible recycling and refurbishment of IT equipment. Through these actions, Hiltermann contributes to reducing waste and supporting a more circular use of resources.

[C03.200] - Environment - Disclosure of list of main actions the entity seeks to achieve its targets

To reduce direct (Scope 1) and indirect (Scope 2) emissions, we are implementing several operational efficiency and energy-related measures. These include the transition of the company vehicle fleet towards hybrid and, over time, fully electric vehicles, reducing fuel consumption and associated Scope 1 emissions. We also implemented energy efficiency measures in our buildings, including LED lighting, insulation improvements and energy monitoring systems, to reduce overall energy consumption. We source 100% renewable electricity from Dutch wind energy, resulting in low Scope 2 (market-based) emissions. A battery system has also been installed to optimise electricity use and balance energy demand. Further actions include maintaining energy-efficient building operations and integrating sustainability considerations into future office selection, where energy performance will be a key criterion.
